11704042 – Senior Specialist- Strategic Planning – Dublin Contractor

Purpose

Position drives the strategic planning of existing commercial portfolio ensuring long-term continuity of supply to patients and ensures a seamless transition of a clinical pipeline into our commercial supply network.

Develops supply strategies and strategic plans for the medium and long term, conducts research and data analysis to provide key insights to inform business decisions.

The successful applicant will have prior experience as a strategic planner or business analyst, the ability to problem-solve and interpret data, excellent interpersonal and communication skills and possess the capability to progress through the Alexion organization into roles of increasing responsibility in the future.

Responsibilities

• Provides medium- and long-term planning oversight and optimization of inventories of working cell bank, drug substance, drug product, and finished product.
• Ensures a seamless transition of the clinical pipeline into our commercial supply network.
• Performs key scenario planning analysis based on supply chain challenges and makes recommendations for GSC Leadership team review.
• Conducts research, analyses trends, and prepare reports
• Ensures data accuracy in all aspects of planning, as well as in the global planning ERP system
• Supports annual team objectives and assists with developing strategic planning metrics
• Ensures compliance with Standard Operating Procedures and Good Distribution Practices

Requirements

• Third Level Degree qualification in a relevant discipline is desired
• 6 years+ in Supply Planning, Strategic Planning, or associated experience
• Advanced level in MS Excel and intermediate level in other MS applications essential
• Advanced analytical skills and high attention to detail essential
• Strong knowledge of Supply Chain Planning concepts and strategies
• Prior experience with Advanced Supply Chain Planning Systems essential
• Knowledge of planning processes and distribution planning principles
• Ability to cope with a fast-paced and dynamic business environment
• Prior SAP functional skills are preferred but not essential
• Familiarity with concepts of cGMP
