This is a 11 month contract with a view to extension
Providing coordination of the delivery of IT infrastructure components in site capital projects, reporting to the capital project IT lead(s). This candidate will work closely with capital project IT teams and will provide a full-time on-site presence to assist in delivering the IT solutions designed for the projects.
• As the IT Infrastructure Engineer for the project, you will Manage IT work items and manage IT vendors as required.
• Provide support to project specific site locations and personnel.
• Support the capital project IT Leads to liaise with global teams, support project team and promote standard technology.
• Determine IT infrastructure requirements for new project specific office installations and work with appropriate on site & above site teams to agree & deliver on this.
• Work directly with capital project IT leads & vendors to coordinate equipment deliveries, setups & demos (Accept delivery, update asset inventory, coordinate storage requirements, assemble and configure to approved design & corporate standards).
• Coordinate with the capital project IT leads to install project specific infrastructure and work with the relevant disciplines (including site IT Infrastructure team) to schedule & execute change window activities and update relevant site documents.
• Work closely with capital project IT leads, QA-IT and Computer Systems Validation (CSV) functions and participate in IT system testing & qualification where required.
• Participate as required in project IT meetings and support relevant program meetings.
• Ensure compliance with Global Policies, Procedures, Guidelines, regulatory requirements and execute current Good manufacturing Practices (cGMP) in the performance of day to day activities and all applicable job functions.
• Fluent in English, written and verbal.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role preferably in the Pharmaceutical industry.
• Experience of large-scale enterprise technologies is essential
• Experience deploying IT infrastructure at scale i.e. data center setup, campus network deployment
• Strong experience in one or all of the following: Virtualisation technologies, VMWare, Hyper-V, VCenter, SAN Implementation, Design & Optimisation, Fiber channels, Networking (switches, cabling) Shop Floor networking, Disaster recovery, Business Continuity, Enterprise Security & CCTV system deployment
• Usual place of work will be on site in Tipperary. The successful candidate may sometimes be required to attend meetings at other sites or attend meetings at vendor premises as required.
• During key project activities the core working hours may vary and may be non-standard including weekends / public holidays.
• Excellent computer skills, proficient in the use of the following Microsoft tools: Excel, SharePoint, Word and PowerPoint.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
• Relevant Computer Science degree or equivalent
• Previous experience working with this client will be advantageous.
