The Senior Accountant is responsible for supporting the financial operations of the company by accurately recording and maintaining financial records, reporting management accounts and developing the Management reporting cycles. Maintaining
and overseeing all the supporting reconciliations. The development of the financial controls to support the finance function and the overall business.
The role involves working closely with the finance team, being able to support them when required, and reporting directly to the financial controller and at times deputising for the financial controller.
Responsibilities
Financial:
• Prepare and report the monthly management accounts.
• Prepare the Balance Sheet Reconciliations.
• Maintenance and development of the Fixed Asset Register and accounting for depreciation charges
• Stock Accounting
• Working closely with the finance team on Sales Accounting.
• Overseeing and Co-ordinating the year end process and dealing with Auditor Queries.
• Nominal Ledger review.
• Working close with Credit Control
• Managing the Performance Calculations Process
• Support Financial Controller with day to day queries and Adhoc work.
• Working Closely with the clinics to develop and improve processes that will support the Finance function.
• Oversee and Initiate projects that will being eAiciency to the business.
Requirements
• 3rd level degree Accounting, Finance, or similar related field
• 6+ years’ Post qualified experience in a similar role
• Proficiency in using accounting software and MS OAice Suite
• Ophthalmology/medical background is an advantage.
• Data analytics and Power BI experience desirable.
• An ability to manage multiple deadlines and eAectively delegate and monitor progress of multiple tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy with knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
• Proficiency with Accounting Software and Microsoft OAice.
