This is a permanent role.
Working within a team of payroll specialists, responsible for the timely production of payroll for assigned clients ensuring that timeline targets as set by management are met in conjunction with maintaining the firm’s standard of excellent client service.
• Responsible for working within the payroll team on daily deadlines along with handling payroll related queries.
• Maintaining a portfolio of payrolls for processing and a portfolio for review.
• Act as a direct point of contact to our clients, providing exceptional service and support.
• Complete registrations of new hires and manage employee exits for clients.
• Experience of working with and extracting data from various clock in systems desirable.
• Responsible for the accurate calculation of taxes and Benefits in Kind (BIK).
• Applying pensions on payroll and preparing upload of pension files within the required deadline.
• Familiarity with payroll updates such as enhanced reporting.
• Ensuring any necessary client follow ups are actioned in a timely manner where the relevant information is not received.
• Adherence to the payroll processing standard operating procedures document.
• Use internal payroll checklist template at end of the process to ensure all steps are completed.
• Completing internal reporting system on a weekly basis.
• Ensuring weekly/fortnightly and monthly PSR’s are uploaded to Revenue.
• Monitoring Employers PAYE deadlines.
• Familiarity with the Revenue On-line Service (ROS) payroll areas, payments processes on ROS, setting up Revenue On line Service Debit Instruction Forms and Direct Debits.
• Working with payroll manager/team lead in ensuring Employers PAYE obligations are met and are acted upon promptly.
• Experience in Banking on the various banking platforms in areas of initial set up, bank files and payments for the processing of wage payments.
• Ensure work is carried out in a professional and timely manner in line with company values in order to assist in meeting client expectations.
• At least 5 years payroll processing experience
• Knowledge of Thesaurus, Bright Pay and Sage required.
• IPASS or equivalent qualification required.
• Knowledge of UK payroll and pensions desirable.
• UK payroll qualification desirable.
• Familiarity of Workplace Relations Commission Inspections, Department of Social Protection
• Inspections and Revenue Enquiries desirable.
• Demonstrating a strong foundation in payroll practices.
• Knowledge of Irish taxation an advantage.
• Ability to manage priorities and meet strict deadlines.
• Track record of progression in previous roles.
